  1. Physical activity keeps the sold man physically and mentally agile. Your daily routine includes exercise and message twice a week or long walks.
  2. Stretch your muscles in the morning and go walk in the evening.
  3. A simple vegetarian meal. The minimum is the maximum.
  4. Work hard and take life easy
  5. Have faith in God.
  6. Sleep early and raise early.
  7. Always feel full of energy and cheerful.
  8. Getting rid of the feeling that we are old is an important part of making retirement a turning point in the right direction
  9. Think big always offer the big and let it happen.
  10. Interest yourself in new things, new lines of thought within your limits of strength begin new enterprise.
  11. Your are old when you cease to grow. You are as young as you feel.
  12. Open yogic exercises are ideal for old people. Breathing exercises or pranayama have benefits a lot .
  13. Show some interest in spiritual practices like Yoga, pranayama, yog asanas, doing japa meditation and Prayer.
  14. Start the day with god and end the day with prayer.
  15.  Have nice sleep and do not worry if you do not get sleep.

Tips for mind control

As a preliminary exercise it is good to spend some time every day simply watching our minds, listening to those drum beats. We probably shall not like what we see and hear but we must be very patient and objective. The mind finding itself watched in this way will gradually grow calmer. If we continue this exercise regularly for several months we shall certainly make some advance toward mental control.

2. As suggested by swami Vivakananda….. Try to put your whole mind into the work on Hand. Learn to focus mind on each and every task of your life: If you can train your mind to maintain enough concentration to pay attention to each task from moment to moment this is more than enough. When you are reading ,  walking  resting, talking, walking, eating whatever you do in your daily life,  act with the mind that is calm and that is paying attention to each and every act.

Buddha used no instrument in the investigation other than his mind.

For mind control people commonly pay attention to their breath or the Body but you could also focuss on an Activity such as Swimming, yoga dancing, craft work, God. All that matters is that you choose a meditative object and return to it when you get distracted.

One can practice Yoga or Meditation ,Japa and prayer, Breath awareness for mind control.

Every one should note the point that Mind is your object but not the subject. Consciousness or Awareness or Soul or Self is the Main Subject.

Always feel that you are the Self or Consciousness or Awareness as suggested by all Yogis.

Meditation is the ending of thought

The famous philosopher Jiddu krishna murty on  meditation.

If you can read your own mind you need not read any book in the world. Meditation is one of the greatest arts in life. perhaps the greatest and one cannot possibly learn it from any body. This is the beauty of it.

Meditation is the freedom from thousands of movements in the ecstasy of Truth Meditation is part  of life meditation is not something different from daily life don not go off into the corner of a room and meditate for 10 minutes then come out of it and be a butcher.  If you set out to meditation it will not be meditation.

Be absolutely alert and make no effort that is meditation.

Be alert to your thoughts and feelings don’t let one feeling or thought slip by without being aware of it, and absorbing all its content.

Remain constantly in the Self

Remaining constantly in the self without giving room for the rise of any thoughts other than thought of the SELF.

If your learn how to be in your self that amounts to learning everything.

If you are in the self the echo you hear from your heart will be in tune with everything. This is what is called Divine Voice. ……Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Q. When will the Mind becomes Quiescent ?

Maharshi answer: By the enquiry ” who am I ” ? The thought ” who am I ” ? will destroy all other thoughts and like the stick used for stirring   burning pyre it will itself in the get destroyed. Then there will arise Self- realization

Q When will all thoughts and impressions be removed ?

Maharshi Answer : As the meditation on the SELF riser higher and higher the thoughts will get removed.

Perfection in Dhyana is the state of abiding in the self. The act of communion with the Self (Athma vayvahara)or remaining STILL inwardly is infinite activity which is performed with the entire mind and without break.

Q How to control mind ?

Maharshi answer: As a matter of fact there is no mind to control of the SELF  is realized The self shines when the mind vanishes.  The problem of mind control ceases to be a problem when the mind seeks its Source within.

When one is aware of the self and has fully established oneself in it one has no reason to worry about these which cannot in the least affect the serenity of the immutable self.

This is the most natural direct and immediate effective method of controlling the Mind.

Meditation is Rest

Meditation is rest a full stop to all activity —physical , mental -emotional .

Then you come to know who you are ? Meditation is not an effort. It is relaxation. It is not concentration —it is relaxation.

When you are utterly relaxed you came face to face with your being

When you have learnt the art of being at rest —you can be both active and restful together , because then you know that rest is something so inner tht it cannot be disturbed by anything outer. The activity goes on at the circumference at the Centre you remain restful.

HOW To Meditate ?

When you are utterly relaxed you start feeling your reality you come face to face with your being. Just think of the word relax Be settled.

When you are perfectly aware even for a single moment that moment is meditation. When there is no thought working inside you there is stillness and that STILLNESS is meditation.

Meditation is emptying yourself of all content all beliefs and ideologies. Meditation means to be in non-doing meditaion is not a doing but a state of being. It is s state of ones own SELF

Meditation simply means not focussing on anything at all. Meditation takes you to the inner most core of our being what is beyond body, mind and heart … the very centre of your Existence. When you want to close your eyes and focus your awareness on it source (on the roots) in a split second your life is transformed,

What is meditation ?

Meditation is making effort to be without effort . You have to be aware of being aware that is all.

Meditation process is very easy there is only one step that is Just turning IN . Go on turning in. Whenever you find a moment to turn, turn.

Transfer from mind to No mind is the whole journey. No mind is the door. Your own innermost centre is your real master. When you reach to the innermost you are no more. Become more alert more watchful more observant. Meditation is noting but a bridge to go within.

Meditation is entering into silence to see what is there. That pure awareness is DHYANA. Meditation should not be forced Meditation is to know the WITNESS>

The whole are of meditation is disappearance of the doe, disappearance of the mind. Meditation has no object. Be ready to die in meditation If you can die in meditation you will attain eternal life. You will become deathless.

You simply move into a deep relaxation. You move back to the SOURCE again. Consciously voluntarily totally you are merging into the whole existence

When you are not doing anything the energy moves towards the Centre. The moment doing enters you become tense. How to do ? What to do? How to succeed ?.

Watching is the key of meditation.

Watch your mind. Meditation is your intrinsic nature It is you. It is your being. You cannot have it you cannot possess it.

Meditation is not an effort against the mind. It is a way of understanding the mind. There is no need to do any action against the mind. Mind is one of the most beautiful mechanism it is a master piece. Just watch it and enjoy it. Watching the mind means look at it with deep love Meditation is not an effort against the mind. It is very loving way of witnessing the mind. When you watch the workings of your mind it stops on its own accord. Drop this idea of mind stopping just watch and be alert. Watching ultimately culminates in No mind. No mind does not come by killing and destroying the mind.

once you enter into your own being you have entered the temple.

This entry into ones own self is the ultimate growth. You suddenly blossom. One moment you were nothing and another moment a quantum leap You are all because you have tasted your being and that being is exactly the same as the universal being. But that is the only door available there is no other door. There is only one door which can help you and that is within you. Your inner being is not something that has to be developed it is already perfect. No spiritual; development is needed only it has to be discovered. Nothing has to be done. Nothing has to be known. You are already there where you are trying to reach.

The essence of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi teaching is ” Be Silent ” or “Be Still “

To Still the Mind is meditation on the Self . Make the mind still on the Self . If you make the mind STILL in that then Happiness will arise within You.

Therefore go deep inside into the layers of the Self ( Soul) (Athman) or (Source ) (Awareness)

Practise Self attention atleast for 10 minutes daily.

Turning Selwards daily see thyself with an introverted look (Antarmukham ) and it will be known. If such regular practice is allowed to go on for some time self attention will become more and more familiar If one struggles for a long time to maintain self attention it is difficult.

One can make a fresh attempt after a brief relaxation.

What is needed is the ”  dissolution of the mind ” in its Source.

 

X Classmates meet after 52 Years

Myself studied X Class in SPS High school Guntur, during the Year 1970-71 Shri Ganta Subbarao was our Head Master and the Faculty are very well experienced teachers and used to brought up all the students in a disciplined manner with love and affection. All the students studied in the SPS school Guntur are very fortunate enough for studying in such a reputed institution. As of now all the students and classmates have become grand parents and residing at various places in India and abroad. We have created a whats app group and communicate and greet each other every day to know welfare of all. During the year 2024 , (after completing 52 years) some of the Class mates arranged a get together at Nagarjuna sagar under the leadership of P Chandrasekhar , B Baburao, and the participants are Shiva reddy, Navaneeth , Mohanreddy, Baburam, Y Appaji, Venkatratnam, Ramasuseela, Sathya, and Sharat and J. Ramamohanrao (myself) and we all shared our feelings and experiences and happy moments sweet memories and enjoyed the get together in a well organized manner. Jakki Sambaiah entertained the classmates with his songs and P Chandrasekhar entertained all the participants with his dramatic performance. B Baburao and Chandrasekhar expressed that they thought of planning the trip like this a few decades ago and now they succeeded in it. At Nagarjuna sagar we have enjoyed the beautiful Nature, Krishna river, Dam, Temples, Water falls, and enjoyed the night stay with jokes, recollecting the memorable moments of the past and the event became a memorable event in the minds of all the participants. At this occassion I want to tell all the audience this kind of get together and old friends meets are very much essential for overall happiness and contentment. Eventhough all of them are 65 plus age we feel as young and energetic and planning another gettogether like this in future.

The Most sacred journey

Huge Arunachaleswar temple and Arunachala Hill are located at Tiruvannamalai town in Tamilnadu state. At the foot of the Arunachala hill Sri Ramanasramam is located and the road surrounded by the hill and Ashram is extended to 14 KM and all the devotees Indians and foreigners used to perform ” Giripradakshina “around the hill throughout the year which is a wanderful experience The great sage Sri RamanaMaharshi lived on the hill and come down after establising Sri Ramanasrmam and lived till April 1950 the day on which Bhagavan attained samadhi. Visits to Arunachaleswar temple , Sri Ramanasramam , including Griipradakshina are very important and auspicious and sacred for every one who believes in self -realization or moksha. The Sage Sri Ramanamaharshi stayed near Arunachala over a period of 60 years till April 1950 and used to give valuable messages on religious matters. Most of the people from local and non local used to visit Sri Ramanasram to have darshan of Ramanamaharshi and interact with him. During the period when Ramanamaharshi was alive most of the religious gaints , yogis , Swamijis, great personalities used to visit him and had self realization. The Ashram accommodation is available on free of cost and having food in the Ashram is also a memorable occassion. Sri Ramana Bhagavan used to say that Arunachala is the axis for the entire world and source for Self realization.

Bhagavan told to Kunju Swami about Giripradakshina

There is nothing better than Giripradakshina that alone is enough. If you do japa or meditation sitting in one place the maind may wander. But during giripradakshina the limbs move but the mind will be STILL.

Bhagavan gave this instruction to Frank H Humphreys Asst Supdt of police Madras about correct Meditation practice. SEE THAT WHICH SEES ALL …Give yourself a quarter of an hour a day keep your eyes open and try to keep the mind unshakenly fixed on ‘THAT WHICH SEES ALL ” It is inside yourself. Do not expect to find that THAT is something definite on which the mind can be fixed easily it will not be so Though it takes years to find that THAT the results of this concentration will soon show themselves in 4 or 5 months time….in all sorts of unconscious clairvoyance in peace of mind in power to deal with troubles, in power all around—always conscious power.

    During the year 2024,  I have created you tube channel named as Mohanyoga4all for the purpose of sharing my life experiences, with the renowned sages and Saints and Gurujis  in  whose company,  I have spent sufficient period  and came to know about  the spiritual knowledge and gained knowledge on  religious matters,  which I wanted to share through my youtube channel and I have succeeded in sharing my videos to all the categories of public. Herewith,  I want to repeat that my contact with sages started since my childhood days and the journey goes on forever. Since my childhood,  I want to know about the existence of God about the spiritual powers and for which my journey started internally which lead to contacting the spiritual personalities and my studies still continued.     About my great Father

    I want go give brief about my great father Jonnada Anjaneyulu s/o late Guruvulu of Visakhapatnam.

    My father Anjaneyulu after completing his BA Hons joined as Lecturer and recruited as Group I officer in 1960 as direct DPO and he was the first man to select as group one officer from our community. He got married Rukminidevi and blessed with 8 children and out of 8 now only 6 children are alive Names of children are Vijaya, Mohan,(myself) JSN Murthy IFS (rtd) Padma Lakshmi, Venkatesh Bujji and Neeraja. He got good drafting skills and called penman in in ZPP department. He is having spiritual knowledge and devotee of Shirdi sai, and used to have darshans of Jellelamudi Amma, Abburu Narayanaswami , Satya Sai Baba during his tenure. He is very hardworking and we have to learn more things from him.
